Alnico 2 magnet
American made pole pieces 1018 Steel
American made slugs
Short Leg Nickel Silver Frame
The Super 7114 is an amazing high output pickup.  I loved it so much I installed it in my Fender HSS Highway One Strat and has become quite a head turner at jams and rehearsals.  A great HSS combo is the Super 7114 with 2 hot wound single coil Sound Laboratories Magic Strat pickups in the middle and neck positions.  I recommend using 500k pots (all 3) and a .047 Orange Drop capacitor on the tone pot.
Note: The Super 7114 is heavily wound and may require a larger pick guard cavity than the standard humbucker.

The truth of the matter re: The Washington Avenue Telecaster Pickups is I own 4 Telecasters.  3 are Fender branded one is made by Brooklyn local luthier Vince Velenti (his was made with a standard Tele lead and a neck position P90).  The first of my Tele's to get the pickup set was my Japanese Tele with a Bigsby.  I loved that guitar but I figured...why not! To be honest the sound that came out of the Japanese Tele after the pickup swap was mind blowing!  No other mod was needed.  The handmade Vince Valenti Tele got a Sound Laboratories P90 and a Sound Laboratories lead pickup.  The results were the same. AMAZING!!  The P90 now had a beautiful pumped up growl the harder I picked the strings and the lead pushed through and shimmered.  On to my 4th Tele (The 3rd is an MIM Tele and those pickups are weak). My 4th Tele is a Fender American Deluxe S1 with Fender N3 pickups.  I didn't touch it.  I really like the N3's.
